The international standard is based on herbal decoction equipment worldwide demand for international trade, main purpose is to ensure that the closed herbal decoction and airtight herbal decoction equipment safety and quality. This is the international organization for standardization/technical committee (ISO/TC249) of traditional Chinese medicine released the fourth international standard of Chinese medicine.
Tisanes machine of Chinese medicines, the international standard project by Beijing donghua original medical equipment co., LTD., general manager of Jiang Libin served as project director. The draft international standards submitted to ISO in 2009, after six years of relevant international standards work and meeting, by the governments around the world in April 8 representative voting for all passed.

This international standard specifies the herbal decoction equipment material, surface quality, performance, electrical safety, mechanical safety requirements, and the experiment method, testing rules, as well as logo, instruction for use, storage and other matters to do detailed regulations. This international standard is applicable to the individual prescription for the personal use herbal decoction equipment, applicable to the design pressure is less than 0.1 MPa herbal decoction equipment, can also be applied to tisanes and tisanes part of the packaging machine.
