Medical talents from countries along "One Belt And One Road" gather in Shanghai "learn Chinese medicine"

Sponsored by the education committee of Shanghai and organized by Shanghai university of traditional Chinese medicine, the "One Belt And One Road" medical high-end people along the country's traditional Chinese medicine seminar kicked off recently. Thirty-six health officials, western doctors and medical professors from 19 countries on four continents are studying in Shanghai.
Xu jianguang, President of Shanghai university of traditional Chinese medicine, said that chronic non-communicable diseases and an aging population are major health problems faced by human beings, and that the concept of human-oriented, treatment and prevention advocated by TCM can learn from modern medicine. This seminar is an opportunity to show the development status of traditional Chinese medicine, and also an opportunity for colleagues from One Belt And One Road countries to collect ideas and discuss the future development prospects of medicine.
After the opening ceremony, Chen kaixian of the Chinese academy of sciences delivered a keynote speech entitled "the development of traditional Chinese medicine and world medicine". From the characteristics and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine, the challenges faced by modern medicine, the status and role of traditional Chinese medicine in the contemporary era, the development trend of traditional Chinese medicine and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine, he introduced to the students the development of contemporary Chinese medicine and the unique role it plays in promoting people's health.
This seminar is a special research project for medical professionals from countries along "One Belt And One Road" established by education organization, which is the second session this year.
