Hong Kong and mainland sign cooperation agreement on TCM

Hong Kong, Oct. 26 (xinhua) -- the food and health bureau of the Hong Kong special administrative region (hksar) and the state administration of traditional Chinese medicine signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of traditional Chinese medicine in Hong Kong on Oct. 26 to further promote the development of traditional Chinese medicine in both regions, the Hong Kong SAR government announced.
The agreement was signed by the secretary for food and health of the hksar government, Mr Chan shiu-shi, and yu yanhong, secretary of the party and deputy secretary of the state administration of traditional Chinese medicine, who was visiting Hong Kong.
Under the agreement, the two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in the construction of the hospital of traditional Chinese medicine in Hong Kong, international standardization of traditional Chinese medicine, One Belt And One Road and construction of the guangdong-hong kong-macao greater bay area. The two sides will expand exchanges in the field of TCM medical services and TCM education to strengthen cooperation in the areas of medical service mode, professional development, TCM and western medicine collaboration, hospital management and education, etc. The two sides will also carry out various forms of TCM scientific research cooperation and establish a communication and training mechanism in the field of TCM medical service management informatization.
To strengthen the cooperation of both traditional Chinese medicine culture activities, the SAR government response to the state administration of traditional Chinese medicine has launched "Chinese medicine" national large scientific propaganda activities, on October 25 solstice December 31 to carry out the "Chinese medicine" in Hong Kong, to promote healthy culture of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge and ideas, let people know more about the history of traditional Chinese medicine and curative effect.
