Chinese medicine volunteer: thinking of the current situation of Chinese medicine

2018-11-21 yangzi evening news website

Current situation of TCM: lack of talent!

According to the first "survey report on the basic status of TCM" released by relevant departments, 59.6% of the medical institutions in China can provide TCM medical services. There are 3.06 Chinese doctors per 10,000 population.

According to the survey on the status quo of contemporary Chinese medicine, China has 5,583,900 western medicine practitioners and 4,0720,000 Chinese medicine practitioners, with the latter accounting for only 11.4 percent of the former. There are also data showing that fewer than 30,000 people can really be diagnosed with TCM, a terrible number.

What does that mean? These data are enough to explain the real situation of TCM, lack of TCM talent!

The bottleneck of traditional Chinese medicine: the lack of talents is because of the difficulty of cultivating talents!

Education of modern higher Chinese medicine has been developed for nearly 50 years and has a considerable scale. As the main body of education system of modern TCM education, it enables TCM to be actively integrated into education, big health system, and has cultivated a large number of TCM medical, teaching and research talents. Even so, the number of practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine is only 11.4% of that of western medicine, and there are only three practitioners for every 10,000 people.

What does that prove? It's hard to cultivate TCM talents!

One of the important problems of TCM education today is the loss of the traditional excellent education method of TCM, and the westernization of TCM education is serious. Statistics show that the number of famous Chinese medicine practitioners has decreased from more than 5000 in 1980s to less than 500 now. With the disappearance of the old generation of traditional Chinese medicine, the core and essence of traditional Chinese medicine science will be in danger of being submerged, which indicates that Chinese traditional medicine is falling into a crisis of inheritance. The main reason is that the training of modern TCM talents completely refers to the training mode of western medicine, and the training is lack of characteristics.

What does that prove? How hard it is to develop good Chinese medicine!

Chinese medicine volunteer: thinking of the current situation of Chinese medicine

At present, doctors in TCM hospitals mainly come from various TCM universities. In fact, the education model of TCM university has become the reason for the shortage of TCM talents. As we all know, the inheritance system of education in traditional Chinese medicine industry is as follows: the master takes his apprentice, starts from feeling the pulse, to recognize the herb, copy the prescription, back to the song of soup head, medicine property, and makes a gradual progress, which generally takes ten or twenty years to learn, and then he can practice medicine independently by dissolving the classical theory and the personal experience of the master.

What does that prove? It is even more difficult to quickly train excellent Chinese doctors!

The historical mission of Chinese medicine volunteers is a new start and a new starting point for the heritage of Chinese medicine. We should carry forward and carry forward Chinese medicine culture and spread it around the world. We will recruit volunteers around the world and cultivate practical skills in traditional Chinese medicine. With practical actions, we will put into practice the important spirit of "no one is healthy, no one is well off" and strive to promote the cause of national health and traditional Chinese medicine.
