Professor wang peijuan, President of jiangsu academy of traditional Chinese medicine and jiangsu hospital of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, pointed out in an interview that at present, the problem of insufficient innovation in traditional Chinese medicine research still needs to be paid attention to. Until the 1970s, he was inspired by the classic prescription "gubu soup", considering that people with long-term vascular obstruction have the manifestation of deficiency syndrome, he carried out invigorating blood circulation and removing blood stasis on the premise of invigorating qi and nourishing Yin. Delightedly, more and more patients took the medicine prescribed by gu yafu and the pain gradually eased. In order to facilitate patients, gu yafu asked colleagues in the preparation room to produce it into tablets, tongsaimai tablets was born.

In the late 1970s, Mr. Gu came up with the idea of turning tongsaimai tablets into injections. Under the leadership of wang ying, the old director of jiangsu institute of traditional Chinese medicine (now jiangsu institute of traditional Chinese medicine), a special r&d team has been formed by professor gu yafu, professor Chen lian, professor tu jianqing, professor chang furong and other pharmaceutical experts. Tongsaimai tablet contains 8 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine. After analyzing and screening the effective ingredients, they divided it into two groups, and put 4 kinds of drugs that may have effects in one group and the remaining 4 kinds in the other group. Surprisingly, the group that was judged to be less effective won out, and the four drugs were eventually made into mailuoning. After the success of the experiment, gu yafu also invited professor wang dianjun from the pharmacology department to do pharmacological experiments on animals to test the safety and effectiveness of drugs. Young workers like me can get hundreds of thousands of yuan in funding and make bold attempts. CAI xueting is very satisfied with her current working environment. Even more gratifying, she and her colleagues often work with clinicians as part of a combined research and hospital unit, enabling ideas to be implemented quickly.
